People meet their true loves in strange places. Kitty met her late husband on a tour of the gasometers, the giant steel structures for storing gas which dominated the Dublin city skyline for decades. They both worked for the Gas Company but in different buildings.

My parents met at a dance, a frequent spot for their generation. Linda met her quiet husband through a mutual friend who invited them both to make up the numbers on a bus-trip to the greyhound racing. I guess every time you step outside your front door you’re in danger of walking into the love of your life.

Despite knowing these stories, I didn’t expect to see a love story unfold in Castle Bailey Library, and particularly not at Baby Rhyme Time.
