Castle Bailey Library has one day per year when it’s more bookshop than library. On most days of the year you can borrow and return books for free, that’s how libraries work. Our library is much more than that. Our town would be a poorer place without the community meeting space, the computers for those who can’t afford their own, and the various other services we provide. As I discovered recently we even have a couple of people who borrow vinyl records to enjoy at home, and Boss Lady wants to setup an art-lending programme too.
