People always assume that my job is filled with quiet routine and are amazed when I laugh at that notion, but honestly I never have two days the same. OK, sure, there are books every day and readers, but beyond that nearly anything can happen.

Remember when we discovered the entire library was a fire trap and our upstairs fire exit led onto a brick wall rather than a fire escape? Or when Russell, our charming work experience student, decided to dress up as a character from “Twilight” and nearly caused a duel with the other boys because he was stealing their girlfriends? Then there was the time the chess-players threw their boards and pieces across the room because one of them made the wrong move. No wait, that happens a few times a year actually.
