This year has flown. This time last year we had the library maintenance team in to paint the entire library white and I managed to talk Boss Lady around to the idea of a brightly painted children’s section.

This year they’re back but without their paint-cans and with a few extra people. The extras are required because they’re fitting a wheel chair lift.

Libraries, of course, need to be open to all and our old building didn’t include a lift but did feature a wide staircase to the community meeting room. When possible we’ve re-scheduled meetings to use the children’s section or the study tables downstairs but sometimes those are already in use.
