Some people in this world love September while others despise it and suffer from what I call the Back to School Blues. I’m definitely in the former camp. I love the way the shops fill with designer notebooks, multi-coloured paper-clips, and snazzy pencils. You can’t hate September if you love stationary and I’ve yet to meet a librarian who doesn’t appreciate new folders and pen-pots. Even Linda has a smart hard-back notebook in her desk drawer, although of course it’s for new recipes and baking ideas rather than creative concepts for the library or book reviews.

I assumed Boss Lady would be in the same gang as she adores her fancy leather management folder/diary but apparently September doesn’t agree with her. She has been distinctly grumpy all week - failing to complete the crossword...
