Boss Lady looked at me with a serious expression on her face. She wasn’t pulling my leg. “All full-time staff take turns going out with the Mobile Library Unit as part of their ongoing professional development.”

“Linda never goes.”

“Trust me, Linda has been on the MLU in the past.” She seemed to wince as she said that. I’d have to investigate.

“Where will we be going?”

“The Mobile Librarian will fill you in on Monday. She’ll meet you at Library HQ each morning. Oh and Nina, make sure you dress up warm. The heating isn’t brilliant.”
