Although Linda subscribed to my book review blog, she has been crystal clear on her negative attitude towards our new book club for adults, the Bailey Bookworms.

“You couldn’t pay me to be in that group, Nina. Haven’t you seen what happens to groups in this place? The chess players are lovely people but they throw pieces at each other on a semi-regular basis. The knitters grouch about whether acrylic yarn is cheap and cheerful or killing the planet with plastic. And don’t get me started on the in-fighting in the history group.”
