I grew up with the internet. My parents think this means I can configure their TV and create a Netflix account for them. Linda thinks I am a one woman printer maintenance team. Boss Lady reckons I can retrieve emails she sends to Library HQ with incorrect graphs attached (spoiler - I can’t).

What it does mean is that I’m quick to find information online. Finding accurate, truthful information can be trickier but our lecturers on the library studies course were all over the whole false news thing. They believed, and they’re not entirely wrong, that librarians are holding the line all over the world as a source of truth and credible reference materials. A couple of them likened us to super heroes of the age, the only ones that care if a source is reputable.
