Sometimes it feels like I only finish up a report on one library event before I start another. Boss Lady and Library HQ were very happy with the World Book Day event last week but as Linda pointed out the next morning, while I was taking down the Book Day flags festooned around the library, it was only eight days until Saint Patrick’s Day and we’d need to run a craft event for the younger children.

“What do we usually do?”

“Not sure. Decorate paper shamrocks? I think there’s a box in the storage shed with some flags.” She wandered towards the break room blithely ignoring the two customers standing at the issue desk with books in their hands. I climbed down from the stepladder and went to help them.
