This week is the annual photography exhibition at the library. Boss Lady was, as my mother would say, “up to High Doe”.

Emails streamed from her office upstairs issuing directions - invitations both email and in printed format (for the VIPs), orders for sparkling wine and canapés, a list of press releases to be sent (but no contact details for any of the targets, or indeed the text of the press release), a schedule of events for the night, etc.

Linda, in her usual way, passed all the drudge work to me. She was happy to visit the local wine shop to select some fizz though. Turns out tea isn’t the only thing she will drink.
