took a deep, shuddery breath and felt tears pricking her eyes.

“Don’t you start,” Ryan whispered. She stifled a giggle and hoped that she could hold it together through the ceremony.

Thankfully, it was quick. After a brief reading by the wedding officiant, the rings were exchanged and the vows were said and sealed with a kiss. Everyone on the patio got to their feet and applauded. The newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Mulligan led the way back down the aisle and into the wine cave. Beth took her dad’s arm and they followed behind Melanie and her parents.
