The Eighteenth First Date

“A palm reader?” Ryan asked.

“The psychic place right around the corner?” Mega asked.

“On the second floor with the curtains in the windows? And the neon sign?” Ryan looked at her with wide eyes.

Beth cringed and added some cash to the table for a tip. “That’s why I didn’t even want to say anything.” She had managed to avoid a discussion of her upcoming date all through dinner because she knew it sounded a little silly. She wasn’t sure how she felt about palm readers and tarot cards, but she thought it was kind of cool that a guy wanted to try it out.

Ryan and Meg exchanged nervous glances. “What kind of guy wants to go on a date to a palm reader?” Meg asked.
