It was supposed to go well. They were supposed to love me. He promised they would. But I guess Sam wasn’t the only one that wasn’t impressed by me.

I had the horror to meet Sam’s family. They were as regal as I imagined them to be. I tried to be as kind as possible with them, never having been as eager to please anyone.

But it didn’t work.

And truly it was my own fault.

I was given a backstory by Mr. Pike. I was supposed to stick to it at all times. And of course I was supposed to speak as little as possible.

But of course, me being me, I didn’t.

Instead I couldn’t help it. I told them the truth.

And they weren’t impressed to tell say the least.
