And then one night a car stopped outside to get me. I didn’t want Rachel to know what exactly was going on so I only told her that I decided to take the job and it would require me to relocate for four months. It was so hard saying good bye to her. Not being able to take care of her myself was horrible. But I’d visit her as much as I could. At least I had the peace of mind to know she’d be taken care of by our neighbour. She promised me that Rachel would be fine and wished me well for the job.
