KIM

Levi slept in late today. He couldn’t bring himself to get up. When he finally did wake up, he took a steaming hot shower. He wished it could burn off the sadness he’d been feeling lately. After the shower and while getting dressed, he was putting on his belt when he heard a knock on the cottage door.

He walked through the cottage towards the door, thinking it would be Miss Stella. She’d been worried about him lately. He knew she meant well but he decided already that it was time to move on. It was time to accept that Kim would never be his. He couldn’t change that.

But when he opened the door there she was. Smiling at him brightly and as beautiful as ever.

“Kim?”

“Hi Levi,” she said warmly.
