Thalia felt afraid as she sat down on the bed looking at the closed door. She was alone. She looked for her bag that she brought with and searched inside for her diary. Yes, she’d taken it with her. She was able to leave everything behind but her diary was her most precious possession. She opened the book to the first page. She’d made a collage of a few family and friends photos. She looked at the one with her family, her mother and father and her grandparents. She traced her smile on the photo. She was so happy back then.
