CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE

They were free.

Garrett was able to book a cheap hotel for them for the time being. But right now he wanted to show Thalia how great things could be. What the future will look like for them.

They walked the streets of the city, exploring small shops, eating at a fancy restaurant like adults, walking on the boardwalk, running down to the water and watching the sun set at the beach.

It was a beautiful day. A day Garrett hoped he’ll have in his memories forever. The memory of the day their lives began together.

Sitting on the beach he turned his head towards Thalia. She was sitting watching the beach as the last glimmer of the sunset still shined in the evening sky.

“What are you thinking?” He asked.

She rested her head...
