CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

Ember looked at her watch when she woke up. He was gone, if everything went according to plan. She was never going to see him again. The one person that meant everything to her. The one person that was her family. He cared so little for her that he didn’t even mind saying good bye to her. She sat up in bed. She wasn’t going to cry about him, she wasn’t going to miss him. She never meant anything to him, why should he to her. But inside her heart was aching and she knew she was only fooling herself. Garrett might have been able to change history for the better for him, but he ruined her future.
