CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

Garrett was relieved to see Thalia. She had managed to run away during the night and he’d managed to sneak out of his house. She quickly climbed into the car and they sped away, leaving her house behind.

“Are you sure we’re doing the right thing?” Thalia asked.

“Yeah, we can’t let them break us up,” Garrett turned to her. “Why? Are you doubting?”

“No! Of course not. I’m just scared.”

He squeezed her hand.

“Don’t be. Everything will work out alright.”

“I can’t believe we’re doing this.”

Garrett couldn’t either. But finally he would be with the woman he loves. For the first time since he came up with the plan he was excited.
