CHAPTER ELEVEN

It was Nature Fest day and Rori and Paisley went in town to the different stalls and bought some traditional pastries. Afterwards they went to see the fireworks on the hillside. A lot of people were around them and they laughed at some of the people’s reactions to the fireworks. After the fireworks were done and still being pumped for the night they went to a small Thai restaurant that was close to the apartment. It was dimly lit and smelled wonderful.

They talked about how the day was and Rori let off some steam about a co-worker that was working on her nerves.

When they were silent for a while, Rori said, “You know, you’ve surprised me in the time I’ve known you.”

“I surprise everyone,” Paisley said, while chewing her food.
