DESTINY

“I don’t know. I’ve never had one. All I ever wanted was a home.”

“Do you think you’ll ever find it?” he asked.

I shook my head.

“I don’t know.”

“They say home is where the heart is,” he said.

“I don’t know about that. My heart has been messing with me lately,” I said.

“I think mine’s been too.”

I felt him moving closer to me.

“Do you...do you think we should follow it?” he asked, his voice lower than usual.

“Maybe.” 

He leaned in and kissed me softly and tenderly. When he pulled away, his mouth still hovering near mine I said,

“You’ll regret this in the morning.”
