“Time for bed, kiddo,” I said.

Chloe was sitting on the couch watching a kid show. 

“I’ll tuck you in.”

Destiny had been living with us for two weeks now. In that time Chloe had grown quite fond of her. She was really good with her and I could see my daughter was much happier than she was before. Destiny often pitched in with making dinner and around the house. But more than anything I was happy that she could be a friend to Chloe.

“Can Destiny tuck me in tonight?” Chloe asked.

I looked towards Destiny.

“Do you mind?”

She smiled.

“Not at all.”

She stood up and said to Chloe,

“Come on.”
