And the show did go on and it was wonderful and just like I imagined.

But then the cast was performing a dance routine and Melissa who was playing as my love interest miss-stepped and fell to the floor. She cried out in pain. We rushed to her.

“I think I sprained it,” she said wincing.

Miss Patterson helped her off stage and we took short break. She tried to walk but it was no use. I didn’t want to cancel the show and I didn’t know what to do. Melissa’s understudy didn’t show up because she fell sick a few days earlier from the flu. I didn’t think it was a problem. Melissa had never missed a show. I panicked. When all of a sudden I saw someone walked towards the spot we were standing backstage.
