I was in love with Alex Maynard.

And that’s why the next day I was walking through the school’s hallway feeling like my heart was about to jump out my chest.

Why?

Because I was about to do the stupidest thing I’ve ever done.

I was about to tell him.

When I finally came around the corner I saw he was with the other guys. I ducked around.

Okay, this was not gonna work. I’ll just go and do this another time...

No! It’s now or never.

I’ll go over and ask to talk to him alone.

Yeah, he’d do that, right?

I leaned against the wall separating us and listened in.

“So, Alex, when you are going to tell him?”

“Tell him what?” I heard Alex say...
