KURT

During break I sat with my friends. I told them everything that happened with Alex and Miss Patterson.

“Ooh Kurt!” Maya, said excited. “You might end up getting popular.”

“That’s stupid,” Jamie turned to me. “Kurt, don’t try to fit in with them. They hate us. They don’t approve of people like us. You don’t want to mix with them.”

“She’s right,” Lauren, another friend of ours, said. “They’ll end up backstabbing you.

“Relax, guys,” I said. “I don’t think he’d want to be friends with me.”

“Maybe he’ll end up falling in love with you,” Maya said.

I started coughing and one of the others patted me hard on the back.
