It was the day of the presentation. I hadn’t spoken to Charlie since that day in the cafeteria. We’d already sorted out the presentation before that so there was no need to. Though it was hard not to. More than anything I wanted to talk to him. Beg him to somehow love me the way I love him. That I’d forgiven him. That it didn’t matter to me anymore, no one else mattered anymore.

But I didn’t. Instead I didn’t look at him, I didn’t say word. I’d reverted back to who I used to be and I hated it. How could he give me and take away my confidence so quickly.

Charlie did most of the presentation. It was exactly how we planned it. I was relieved that it worked out.
