I caught her after class on our last period of the day.

“Nairi?”

She didn’t meet my gaze but she stopped in front of me.

“Is it okay if we worked on the project today? I want to get a head start on it.”

She nodded but didn’t say anything.

“If it’s okay with you we can head to my house today.”

She paused then nodded again.

“Great, uhm, I hope you don’t mind but I came to school on my bike today.”

She didn’t say anything so I continued.

“So you can sit on the front if that’s okay.”

Outside I showed her where my bike was.
