I felt better that morning. Last night I finally told my parents that I was moving out. I no longer felt like I could live under the same roof as them. I also confessed to them that the baby was not his. They were furious but I hardly gave them time to speak. I spent the night at a friend’s house. I didn’t know exactly how long it was going to take for me to get a place but I hoped I would be able to do it soon. I realized that I had been so afraid of taking the plunge and standing up for what was right. But I had to do it a long time ago. I finally felt the courage to do just that.
