When I turned my head I could only see Violet. She was floating above the ground with her dark mess of hair in front of her face and her pallid arms were stretching out in front of her at an unnatural angle reaching for me. The veins in her arms were so blue I could see them through her skin which was nearly transparent. She hung at an odd angle, as if her neck was broken. I tried to call out for her but my throat would allow nothing to pass through. I could see nothing else; I could no longer feel anything else.
