George was asleep on the couch in his office. Something about the day made it perfect for a nap. His window was open, letting in the breeze. The sound of traffic hummed and rumbled from outside below his window. He tried writing, but every time he finished a paragraph, George would sit back and look at that couch. It was finally too much to handle and he succumb to the power of its cushions.
Marie peeked in and saw George sawing logs before she woke him with a light knock on the doorframe. George popped up and looked around the room then finally noticed Marie standing at the end of the couch, smiling and looking down at him.
