Billy beat a combination onto Dillon’s body and head that left Dillon dazed and confused. He ducked, anticipating retaliation, and swooped around to Dillon’s left. Dillon swung a wild left hook and Billy caught him in the ribs, knocking the wind out of him.

Jack was in the corner, miming every hit, juke, and jive. When Billy slammed his fist into Dillon’s ribs, Jack yelled, “You got him, kid!”

Watching Billy in action made Jack feel ten years younger. He always loved prize fighting, even during the days of barnyard hustles and basement hideaways. Now that boxing was legit, to most anyway, he loved it even more. Jack held on to a sense of pioneering for the sport.
