Suddenly the creatures froze, and Nittix and Larry found themselves suspended on a floating rock above the battle.

“Nittix, I never thought I’d say this, but it’s good to see you!” exclaimed Larry.

“I am also strangely relieved,” Nittix responded.

For a few moments they studied the frozen combatants below.

“Well?” asked Larry.  “What’s the game this time do you suppose?”

“I’m not sure,” replied Nittix.  “In the other trials, I felt like the Architects always left a clue, a clear goal if we just stopped and paid attention to it.  This just feels like…”
