Larry and Nittix were drowsy.  The small window in the bathroom showed an endless ocean of stars as they drifted.  Larry was on the toilet, not because he had to use it, but simply because it was the closest thing to a chair in the cramped space.  Nittix had settled into the sink.

A toothbrush holder slid off the sink and clattered to the green tile floor.  Nittix was startled, and he awoke.  All was the same, but for one exception – Larry was gone!

Larry awoke.  To his amazement, he found himself sitting at a small round conference table.  The room appeared to be an office in an old federal building – dingy carpet, a few filing cabinets, and fluorescent lights overhead. ...
