Larry opened the bathroom door and was greeted by a blast of hot, dry air. They had crashed in some sort of a desert. Dark clouds drifted across a red sky.
“Look!” exclaimed Nittix, pointing one of his antennae straight ahead like an index figure towards a structure in the distance.
“I see it,” replied Larry. “I sure hope they have food and water.”
“There’s only one way to find out,” Nittix replied, and floated off.
“Slow down!” exclaimed Larry. “We all can’t fly, you know!”
“For the life of me, I don’t know why your species doesn’t have at least rudimentary wings!” replied Nittix, hovering in place until Larry caught up with him.
