Almost two whole months after Baggy discovered that she had Lawrence living like some weird alien on her right ovary, it was finally operation day. Freda Fretter had kept Baggy awake for most of the night, so getting up early was no problem. Clever Bird and Calum had Baggy at the hospital an hour earlier than necessary at 6.30am. Baggy had a bad headache and was desperate for a drink. None was allowed. General anaesthetic and food don't mix well apparently. Various nurses and doctors spoke to Baggy. She discovered she was last on the surgeon's list. The operation would be some time in the afternoon. Freda had a bit of a panic. Baggy explained how scared she was. Clever Bird mentioned Baggy's headache. At 9.00am Baggy was offered tea and toast. Yes. Yummy. It didn't hit the sides.
