Having spent a whole night with Freda Fretter wittering in Baggy Body's ear that the massive lump on her stomach might be "sinister", Baggy was rather exhausted when she got up at 6.30am. At least her emergency hospital appointment was first thing and Freda wouldn't be banging on that "it might be cancer", all day. (Well, that's what she thought at the time anyway). At the Emergency Gynaecology Clinic, Baggy waited for her appointment, trying to convince herself that she wasn't terrified. She was taken in for an ultrasound. Her first, as she'd never been pregnant. The Nurses looked concerned. "It's okay", says Clever Bird, "I know there's a massive lump. At least I know it's not going to jump out of my stomach like "Alien". Well I hope it's not anyway!&...
