New (old) Poem!

Question for the fellow writers out there.
How do you begin to write after taking a break for a significant amount of time? How long until it felt normal and the words flowed naturally like before? I tried several times to get some words down on the paper and in the end got frustrated and painted instead. I'm going to keep trying, but I had no idea it was going to be this difficult to get back into the groove. In the mean time, here is a poem I wrote BC (Before Covid). I want to say it was last year sometime, but the fact that I used the word quarentine amused present day me. I hope you all enjoy!
I long to be empty
Drain me of this
Fill up your cup only to find
You've been given the placebo.
