Today is the 5th day of the new school year. With both of my boys it seemed like they both were begrudgingly ready to start another year at the same schools. Same friends, new teachers. My 8 year old seemed more excited than my 13 year old and was ready. He even claimed he was old enough now to be dropped off instead of being walked in (OUCH my heart needs a bandaid) so that was what we did. However this morning he seemed to have some nervousness that he didn’t quite know how to vocalize. His big eyes darted back and forth and I knew if I didn’t jump into action he would fall apart and there would be tears. You know how some people are good in emergencies?
