Elementary schools have changed so much since I was a kid. I used to live in Georgia, in a city called Norcross. I started my school career at Hopkins Elementary until the third grade, when the district changed boundary lines which meant my brother and I had to go to a new school. Rockbridge however, turned out to be a wonderful school (with THE roadrunner as its mascot..that helped to quickly win me over). Looking back as an adult I can see how truly lucky we were. The school was large but not overwhelming. The playground was surrounded by a circle track, and we even had a gazebo. A gazebo for sitting and watching crushes play tag and reading. The food was terrible, but hey you can’t have it all right?
