It's such an interesting time for poetry. Hell it's an interesting time for writing in general now. There's so many  more outlets  which means not only do you have more options to get your work seen; It also means you get that many more rejections. It's a highly political time, and so many wonderful poets out there have a message, a story, something that will grab people by the face and really make them think. With each person with a message, unfortunately there is a lit mag, editor, anyone in a place of authority and power that are trying to keep these people down. If you would have told me three years ago that some poetry presses discriminate I would have laughed in your face. Poetry was the place where everyone was welcome.
