Grace said, "I called around to some friends familiar with the occult to ask about the ritual circle in Mona Clark's room. One friend in Salem said she'd seen something at a small coastal town along those lines that was destroyed several years ago."

"In the war?" Thomas asked.

"No, in Massachusetts. The town was quietly raided and seized by the federal government."

"Right, I remember hearing about it. The Cult of Dagon, wasn't it? Whole town was part of a single cult, right?"

Grace nodded. "The head librarian at Puckwudgie University was able to corroborate the likely origin and loaned me some English translations of books while he dug through some of the other books."

"You couldn't read them?" Thomas asked, surprised.
