Chapter 46

I parked the Chevrolet a few blocks further down past Jackie’s house.  It was almost midnight, and my guests would be arriving shortly.  I had no intention of trying to convince Jackie to let me into the house this time, as I knew it wouldn’t work.  In any case, I wasn’t planning on trapping myself in there and being surrounded by eight men!  The old Latin saying of ‘Divide and Conquer’ was my inspiration tonight, and I knew that I would only succeed in bringing Viktor and his men down if I could even out the playing field.  One versus eight was not a fair fight anyway, and it would never be!  As I exited the car, I picked up the now defunct Eye and placed it in one of the pockets on my hunting suit. ...
