no one behind it right now, and I picked up the key to the viewing room from my office.  I’m going to lock it before I go get AJ.”

I crossed my arms.  “I’m to accept that you won’t share that key with anyone before you return?  That no one else has a key?”

“Trusting me would be a good idea.”

“For whom?”

He smiled.  “I could let you wait in there if you like, but it’s small, narrow, and doesn’t have any chairs.”

I reconsidered the chairs on either side of the table.  No chairs might even be an improvement.  “Perhaps, while you’re getting AJ, I could change into the lovely dress you provided.”

He nodded.  “I’ll call someone to take you to a ladies’...
