Days passed and then weeks, without anything new happening.  It was rather quiet  at the big old house and gradually all of the cats settled down and things got pretty much back to ‘normal’.  As was usual anytime Miss Casey left the porch she had four cats in tow.  Keno who had been rather ‘jumpy’ after his run in with Jake and Jed had finally settled back down to his old loving self.  Sophia had taken it upon herself to be the official ‘Watch Cat’ and although she was back to all of her old routines, any sound would set her hair on end and she would let out a low growl, until she was sure everything was OK.  Sally and Lucky were steadily growing into beautiful cats, but no one except for Miss Casey could even touch them.
