Kristin pulled her wavy hair over her right shoulder and twisted the locks between her freshly manicured fingers.  Danny Griffin’s house party was crowded.  Many of the faces were unrecognizable to Kristin and Katy.  Danny went to one of the public schools and had no common friends with the girls. 

“I feel like we’re surrounded by aliens,” Katy rolled her eyes.  “Do you see anyone you know?” 

“Not anyone I’d actually be seen talking to.”
