            Mark watched Phil walk across the crowded waiting room at the hospital.  He was thankful not to be sitting in the Emergency Room alone.  Mark had followed the ambulance to the Hospital after the paramedics and police officers tried to pry his mother off the broken glass without causing further injury to her or them.  He called his father on the way, explaining what happened.  Jim simply said he couldn’t get away from work.  Mark wanted to ask him about Leslie, but it wasn’t the right time.
