             Kristin sat at the edge of the pool, her legs dangling in the water.  She had just finished telling Katy the exaggerated version of yesterday’s events, starting with Emma claiming to be kidnapped to Conner telling her about possibly going to boarding school.  Katy’s arms were folded across her knees as she sat in silence.
