Kristin rolled her eyes.  “You’ve done nothing but yell at me.  It’s doubtful that you defended me.”  

“No, I did defend you.  They were talking about sending you to St. Mary’s.”  

“What?” Kristin jumped up.  “The boarding school?”  

“Yep,” he shook his head.  “I told them I thought it was harsh.  The punishment didn’t fit the crime.  But after talking to you, I’ve realized it’s probably a good fit.  At least Bradley will be able to be part of this family without fear of you.”
