Mark sat at the reception table sipping on a glass of water.  The ice had long melted.  Table service ended after dinner but he didn’t want to go to the bar for fresh water.  Laurie Harber had been standing in a five foot radius from the bar since dinner ended hours ago.  If there was a word for what came after inebriated that would be used to describe her.
