The next several days were hectic ones in the castle: Luthanian troops continued to return from battle, dignitaries and messengers arrived; carrying missives from neighboring kingdoms regarding the prince’s untimely death; and families poured in, searching for missing loved ones. King Alfred was kept busy receiving them. He also spent much time meeting with his commanders to oversee the dismantling of the Moribundian army, and thanking allies for their assistance. Lord Shephold and his sons returned to Moribund to help their people recover from the devastation brought on by Lord DuPraye.
